Thanksgiving Week

warning:  long post
We kicked off our Thanksgiving week with the Leika's program.  It started at 9:00 and being Wild Man's last year, Mother (myself) wanted to get a front row seat.  I got up an hour early (5:30) got myself ready and then the kiddos--Took baby to daycare and off Wiley and I went--7:30 is when I got my seat--Yep the 1st one, can you believe that?!! It may seem crazy, but it is a big deal~REAL big deal! Soon after (5 minutes later) other crazy Mother's started to pile in.

School started in September and within 2 months, our boy learned how to read and learned a very long Bible Verse...KJV I might add!!

Psalm 100

1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness:  come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God:  it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:  be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

For that I am truly thankful!

This year was our year to eat with Robin's parents.  Alright, listen closely~Robin's brother's wife's Mother hosted Thanksgiving at her house--confused?!  We were all assigned to bring something, which I LOVE because it isn't so much on any of us.  We had some tasty food and good company BUT unfortunately, here is the sad part...my hubby didn't get to join us~He had to "man" his crew at work because a BIG problem came up! Wouldn't ya know...THANKSGIVING! ugh---Can you imagine how frustrated he was, not to mention me :-( .  But we did it and survived without him.

After lunch, the kids and I headed over to my Aunts where my side of the family had lunch.  The have a beautiful yard, a barn and horses.  I am in for it because my baby girl is obsessed with horses, not to mention Wiley.  She screamed bloody murder when I took her off.  After Mallory took the saddle off and brushed him, we had to put Sissy back on bare back!  Thankfully they live about 5 miles from us, so maybe just maybe my kiddos will get a pony one DAY!

Nonetheless our afternoon consisted of a quick power nap and more cousin time!

My next post will be some of my favorite Christmas decorations.

love~
