Christmas time lately

I am going to combine it all in one, since I don't have a whole lot of time to blog about each and every event!
Do you remember my recent post In His Pockets? Well here is what I found last Friday, the day it all went d.o.w.n.

Do not ask me what these little balls are?!! I know this coke bottle top came from a trip to Carter's where we always get a glass bottle Coke to drink on our Fridays together!

Just a two pictures to show you what Bernard our Elf has been up to!  I just love the kids Elf.  He talks about kindness, sharing and other life lessons each day.  About 5 days before Christmas our cards explains the Birth of Jesus Christ up until Christmas Day!

Talking a bubble bath (huge hit with Wild Man) Sipping on water with a cookie in hand~

Last Wednesday I had the kids in Mission Friends a Happy Birthday Jesus Party.  I read them stories and them let them "party" We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus too!  So much FUN!

This is Molly the Missionary that Wiley is holding! She just is in Uganda as we speak on a Mission Trip with my friend April.  When Molly gets back she will then explain what she did in Uganda and share pictures of her there!

A little baking never hurts!

Merry Christmas!  Have you finished all your shopping? I am almost there!

Town Hall

Wiley's class was invited to sing at Town Hall (as he says) Christmas tree lighting! If I must say the only Children singing.  His little class felt so special and say with their hearts.

One more cute picture I snapped of Jake and Wiley on a Friday after lunch

In front of a shop window downtown!

Go away BUG

This past weekend was a total nightmare to say the least!  Friday baby came down with the stomach bug.  Let me rewind and start with Thursday.  Rob had a little procedure done ( I will not say more, b/c he will k.i.l.l. me) and was down ALL weekend like when I say down LAID up.  On the couch not moving--okay that in itself is enough to drive me insane.  I am constantly picking up the house, baking or cooking or on the go!  I can't sit still. SO.  Then Friday came--Wiley's last day of school before Christmas break and a Party!  I went to his party and just about when it was over.  The babysitter called and said baby was throwing up ALOT! (We had plans to go see the Zoo lights that night)--FAIL (had plans to finish Christmas shopping--FAIL.  Alice continued Sat and Sun and MONDAY~ Three days, not continuous vomiting and diarrhea, but sporadic! Sunday came--Robin still laid up on the sofa--3:00 pm it hit Momma! Therefore I was out of commission from 3 pm until midnight.  Baby was walking around the house screaming my name, beating on the bedroom door calling me; Wiley coming in and out saying he is bored he needed to go somewhere and play--Dad, still LAID up...You get the picture?  Weekend from hell!  Monday comes and baby throws up one more time.  I am starting a separate paragraph for what is to come next about my BOY!

I wake up feeling so weak from my episode and Robin goes to the doctor for a check-up!  Wiley wakes up around 9ish and walks out of his room and looks WHITE AS A SHEET, I ask him "What is wrong" he says Mom I don't know! I barely pick up and his is feeling limpish and we struggle to get to a chair b/c my back is about out from the night before.  I sit down with him and he slips right through my arms, PASSING OUT! I then scooped him up with all I had and ran to lay him on the bed and he is blue around the mouth, lethargic and not saying a word~OH MY STARS I freaked! Called my Mother instead of 911 and screamed something along the lines...Wiley blue, passed out! I then called 911 and they connected me to Care ambulance and they said they would come and check him out.  By then he woke up kinda and Robin beeped in, switched over and told him Wiley blue called 911! He said he about blew that motor out of his F-150. He pulls up on two wheels, the Nana on two wheels and then PawPaw! They scoop him up and take him off.

In the meantime--Robin tells me, I have surgery AGAIN at 1:00 today! Oh my can our weekend get any worse!  Come to find out the Husband didn't feed my boy dinner.  Oh he ate pretzels and chocolate.  Really Robin?!!  So I think he woke up and his blood sugar bottomed out.  They did chest x-rays and blood work.  White count was up a little but nothing major!

That's about it and now it is Thursday and we are all WELL just in time for Jesus' Birthday! YAY~ Well almost--RDK is almost there, but back at work!!

Baby has a grin behind that stopper ;)

North Pole Express & Singing

Last weekend we went to the North Pole Express at Tucker's house.  They had Charlie Brown's Christmas on the outdoor screen, tons of snacks from cupcakes to goldfish and hot chocolate!  It was a treat, not to mention the train ride through all of the pretty Christmas lights.  My crew had a blast.

Sunday night the children sang at Church! What a joyous sound to hear children sing Christmas songs and little girls play the piano.  For three years I taught preschool choir and this was the first year I didn't teach.  It was nice to sit in my pew and just watch instead of trying directing!!  They finally had a "real" music teacher that could teach them how to sing in tune and play the piano :)

We tried to let baby sit with us and listen, but she just wanted to run down to the alter and be with the big kids so Dad took her across the street to the nursery.  She was so excited to see us and ready to go, until she darted back in and Rob pretended to leave her :( t.e.a.r.s.

Of course he scoops her up and kisses her face right off to make it up to her!

She is a MOMMA'S GIRL...NO DOUBT!!

In his pockets

I never know what I  might find in my little guy's pocket.  To be quite honest, I almost ALWAYS forget to check his pockets before I throw them in the washing machine! When I realize I have washed something it is usually when it is beating my dryer to death or I find some remnants in the washer.  Here is my find today:

Four pecans and one little metal thinga ma bob that goes on the end of a pen!
BY THE WAY.....
How do you pronounce "Pecans" Do you say it like this "pacan" or "peacan"

Robin and I joke, even my sister and Mother joke and say that he has hoarding tendencies and I do believe he does.  I will take a few pictures in the next couple of days to show you exactly what I mean.  It is just pure junk--He even asks our babysitter "do you have anything around here you do.not.want." He does this everywhere he goes.  He loves it when he stays in Birmingham with my sister (AND my parents), he racks up both places--They usually end up having to check in his suitcase before he leaves because he stashes things away in the zippers!

Really I can't say much, he gets it honest....GUILTY ;)

Peace~

SCL Gingerbread Wonderland 2011

The Selma Charity League is responsible for this fun afternoon!  The 1st annual Gingerbread Wonderland was in 2006, when my buddy was just 10 months old!  He didn't do much but just sit in my lap and watch me decorate.  I still remember what he was wearing that day.  All of the ladies worked so hard to make sure everything was just perfect, and it was!  But, I do have to say as a fellow League member it sure is nice to just get to go now and not have to put on my elf hat and work ;)

Of course he has to lick the icing off his finger, that is the only "fun" way.

These boys are a HOOT~I had the best time listening to their conversations!  Thanks to my sweet friend Jana for our Gingerbread House this year.  Sam and Wiley did this masterpiece, while Jana ran around the joint like an elf with her head cut off!!

I kept wondering when I would pick up a piece of candy why it was wet and sticky--yuck they would taste it, not like it, and just set it back down....BOYS...

This is Lane, the sweetest baby boy!

Fairchild (Sam's sis) and Kylie doing a fine job

Brody and Wiley just being silly sitting in Santa's chair

It's time to decorate

It is Christmas at our house, what a glorious time of year!  Last year we went to Stephen's Christmas Tree Farm and cut our very own tree down.  As a little girl, each year we went to that very same tree farm!  I remember loading up in Daddy's pick up truck on Saturday mornings and walking and walking to find the perfect tree!  It was fun to take my kids their too!  A few pictures from last year~

Mr. Stephen's, Wiley & Robin

My babies have changed so much in just twelve short months!

This year we decided to go to Four Season to get a Frazer Fir instead of a Cedar.  We my go back to the Tree Farm next year when A.T. is a bit older...She is a tough cookie this year ;)

A birthday bruch at the Club to celebrate Mary Katherine turning 6.  Alice kept her distance from Santa but seemed to really like Mrs. Claus!  The last picture of is Alice and Anna Henri (BIG Church Buddies)

Now on to some of my favorite Christmas decorations~

I love a gingerbread house decorated by Wiley
Every Year since Wiley's first Christmas, I have his Santa pictures framed and now with his Sissy too!

This year we added Department 56 snow village to our decor and I must say that Wiley stares at it every.single.day.

My who-ville tree has all of the kiddo's homemade ornaments on them!  LOVE LOVE LOVE this tree

This is Wiley's favorite piece of our village--The postman, his truck and mailbox

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

Can't say it, but....This is Robin and Wiley's ornament

We are busy making memories this year.  I can't wait to share what else we have been up to.  But the Hubs and I are watching The Help and I have to go, he isn't going to wait much longer~ We watched Crazy Stupid Love last night (it was okay)!!

Love~
