Dear Wiley,

You are the best son ever.  How many times a week do you hear me say that? I am so thankful that I am your Momma and that you and I are so close.  So many things you say and do make my heart so happy!!

7 things that make me love you more

1.  You always tell me that I am your best friend

2.  You tell me every single day that I am the best Mom ever

3.  Your willingness to always help me with a cheerful heart

4.  You always notice when I dress up and give me the sweetest compliments

5.  I love it when you cook with me

6.  I love our "secrets"

7.  Last but not least, I enjoy every single Friday afternoon that I get to spend with you!  That is "our day" and I love that we always put that afternoon away for quality time!  I am so thankful that God chose Daddy and me to be your parents. Happy 7th Birthday Wild Man, YOU ARE THE BEST SON EVER!

Love,

Momma

Our New Niece

On December 17th my sister had her 3rd baby.  She is truly a miracle! Lea could not have children on her own and her older two are in vitro fertilization babies.  So when we learned she was pregnant and the sickness was from pregnancy we were all in SHOCK! We had to keep our pie holes shut for almost 4 months.

Isn't she beautiful?! This was a few hours before she was born.

I am so thankful that Lea and Paul let me be a part of her birth.

The nurse noticed the heart after she stamped her foot!  How cool is that?!

Me and my girls, missing my other girl Alice!  Maisie could pass as my child, she favors all of my pictures as a kid.  AND she acts like me too, YIKES!

Only an Aunt can give hugs like a mother, keep secrets like a sister, and share love like a friend.

phone talks

Alice Taylor loves a telephone!  Anytime I have the phone in my hand the first thing she asks is "who is that" then she proceeds by "I wanna say hello Nana" or "I wanna say hello Lea" so here she is talking to Nana the other night.

This little girl makes me laugh A LOT!

Please excuse the quality of this picture! I snapped it with my iPhone really fast because I heard her singing in her room with her "kitchen phone" She was dancing and singing to her new CD that was playing "Call me Maybe"

Fun Happenings

On December 1st my Daddy and I went to an estate sale and left with a few neat things.  An old milk jug that now sits on my porch with some branches and white lights, a wooden basket that houses deer antlers & Christmas balls and two metal locker crates that I spray painted yellow that holds books.  Run on sentence or what?!?!?!  We then left and I picked the children up from Momma and Daddy's and took them to the Christmas parade.  We are so lucky to have banker friends that invited us to the bank's balcony downtown.  They had lots of refreshments and goodies to eat, they even had festive drinks for the adults!  It was a great view, not crowded and all of our friends were there!!

Last year after Christmas, I bought a gingerbread house for $2.00 and put it up.  I am so glad I did, the kids had fun decorating in their pajamas; well baby insisted on wearing a dress!

There is nothing better than making memories and continuing traditions with your family!

bowl full of jelly

Friday night we hopped in the car and drove to Prattville.  Destination:  The Bass Pro Shop to see no one other than Jolly Ole Santa Claus!  The entire trip over, Robin and I talked to Alice about Santa and how she would sit in his lap and tell him what she wanted for Christmas.  We were not really sure if she "got it", but boy we were w.r.o.n.g.

I have every single picture framed in a frame from Exposures that has the year on it.  Starting with Wiley Boy 2006.  I love pulling them out every year and adding another one to my buffet.  Last years post shows them here.

We had the best time, and it was free!

Dinner to top our night off at Cracker Barrel, one of our favorites.  Robin and I had breakfast, Alice veggies and Wiley Shrimp.  Strange enough we all ate off each other's plates. Ha!

Wish list from Santa:

Wiley:  Chemistry Set
Alice:  Baby Doll
