Not herself

Sissy has not been herself lately! The hubby took her to our good ole family Doc, Dr. Burns~He is the best Doctor this side of the Mississippi and we are so grateful to him and his super nurse, Suzanne! Double Ear Infections and a red throat, but NO STREP, thank you Jesus!! Alice has had ear infections pretty much since birth, as did Wiley! Wiley never had another infection after his tubes, but baby on the other hand has had four since tubes.  I have one thing to say~ the old saying that breastfed babies do not get ear infections is so NOT TRUE! Wiley was breastfed for 13 months and Alice 7 months. We are ready for her to get well and STAY well!!

Not feeling 100% and the noise of Robin's truck tires, baby was out!

Robin and his brother went to do a little work Monday evening at the hunting club.  Robin called me around 8ish and said that they had broken down and were waiting for a friend to come tow them back to town.  Well they arrived and with this in the back of Brian's work truck.  They spotted this big daddy rattlesnake in the road and "skidded" on him, well it locked the brakes up and the story was getting funnier and funnier hearing these two go at it as to who's fault it was they kept going back running over him! They say the truck started puttering and just wouldn't go anymore, all because of a snake minding his own business!

My little buddy on our daily lunch date yesterday! Gosh I am going to miss him like crazy at lunch when school starts back.

Paul's Daddy always makes their Birthday cakes and nothing taste better than a homemade cake!

Next on the agenda---Zip Line

Birthday boy is a PRO by now--Showing us all his tricks!

Alice did her own thing and watched as the kids zoomed down the backyard

JP's cousin Ella beside Wild Man, they are just a few days apart--she's a cutie!

Mom and Grandma are trying to survive the h.e.a.t.

Feeding the Deer

Robin and Wiley have been making trips to the hunting club the past two weekends to feed the deer and to check his game camera!  Sis and I didn't have any plans Saturday morning so we decided to tag along.  Wiley was instructed to wear long pants by his Dad and well, baby and I were not interested so we had bare legs! It is so snaky right now, so Robin was very demanding when he said we MUST take every step he takes.  Our 1st stop along the way was the bridge to throw rocks.  When I was a child my favorite thing to do with my Granddaddy was to blast blow turtles up in ponds and creeks with a 22....It was so much fun and we pretty much did that or either fished most every weekend! I miss my granddaddy so much, but our Wiley looks and reminds us so much of him!!!

Alice missed this stop and the next few -She was sound asleep.  But after an hour nap in the truck riding dirt roads and a few pit stops in between she woke up for the last stop and a diaper change!!

Tossing out some corn and a apple salt block, these deer should be happy for a few days!

Wiley was sweet to share his corn with baby

She wasn't about to let go of her Daddy's britches!

We had a wonderful Saturday and hope you all did too!!

Pizzzza Night

I heart pizza and do not order it often, but when we do I always have a slice of cold pizza for breakfast the next morning.  I know, it is not healthy or probably normal to eat cold pizza for breakfast the next day! BUT...Growing up Dominoes was on speed dial at our house.  I think we ate it every Thursday night and Lea and I always liked cold pizza the next day!!!  Baby is a lover of pizza too, Wiley....well not so much, but he will eat it!

We had so much fun at supper that night! I had to create a collage because I had too many favorite faces that I wanted to share---Wiley Bug has the nose flair going on and baby has several hysterical ones herself!

Jalapenos

We L.O.V.E.  jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped with bacon....yummmmo is all I have to say!!  It takes a lot of time to prepare these bad boys, like try 1 hour.  We don't like ours too spicy so we take out all most of the seeds.  (I leave a few for a surprise SET YO MOUTH ON FIRE) It always make me laugh so hard when one of us gets a surprise scorcher! The kiddos played in the backyard while the hubby worked his magic grilling our yummies!

All that work to be scarfed down in minutes! But oh so good!

Sis on Wild Man's four wheeler--When the battery isn't dead she enjoys a ride!

The key is to cook them slow turning and rotating constantly. You should give them a try!!

To Robin

August 11, 2011 Robin and I celebrate 10 years of marriage!!

He proposed to me at Oak Mountain State Park and what a great memory I have of that day.  It was at the bottom of a waterfall.  There were tons of people above us looking down when he got down on his knee.  When I said YES and we were hugging we could hear the people cheering and clapping.  We were engaged in April of 2000 but had to give my parents at least one year from my sister Lea's wedding date which was July 8, 2000, so we picked a August 11, 2001!  My poor parents, two weddings a year and a month apart.

Robin and I have been married for 10 wonderful years! God could not have picked a better partner for me and I am forever thankful.  He is the best husband a girl could ask for not to mention a wonderful Father!!

I have uploaded a few pictures from our wedding day.  They are kinda blurry so pardon me, but I took them with my iPhone from our wedding album.  These are some of my favorites!!

First Baptist Church looked beautiful!  Fred was our florist and did an amazing job!

My FAVORITE shot of me and Daddy just as he was about to walk me down the aisle!!

My Daddy giving me away--He joked with me that he had a bruise in his side where my elbow was digging into him because I was shaking so bad!!

Leaving the Church headed to our reception at Sturdivant Hall

And last but not least, my other favorite of us just before leaving our reception!!

Ten reasons why I am so lucky to be this man's wife~
  1. He loves God more than me
  2. He is a wonderful provider for our family
  3. He is the best husband and will do anything for me and I mean ANYthing
  4. Bends over backwards to help me with our precious ones
  5. Never complains about my sometimes constant occasional nagging
  6. Is the most laid back man I know
  7. He loves my cooking and will eat anything "new" even if he thinks it is awful
  8. I love it when he throws in an occasional serenade
  9. He is awesome at being the "Mom", bottles, bath time, diaper changes etc.
  10. Lastly, that he LOVES me unconditionally
I Love you Robin Daniel!!!

love~ Angie

Cupcakes..mum~mum

Mum Mum is Yum Yum to Alice!  The Dad took Alice for a ride in the truck while Wiley and I made cupcakes Sunday afternoon.  It wasn't hard at all and really not time consuming, just pure fun!!  I have read 3 blogs over the past week that have made the same cupcakes so my little chef and I gave it a whirl.

Coloring the icing

love.love this face my little CHEF made!
Dad and Alice came home just in time for the finishing touches~ICING!!

Wiley made a delivery to the Pearces and the Garners--Fairchild in the background enjoying her cupcake too!!

Wiley's love for cooking/baking comes from Nana Janet! Just about everytime he has a Nana J day it involves cooking.  She even had Wiley at the age of TWO making her coffee.

happy baking~from my little chef to you,

Sunset River Cruise

with the Denmarks.

Yesterday evening we went with Hoyt, Haley (gaw-gaw) and their kiddos, Paisley and Payton to the river for a boat ride and a trip to Little Miami.  The river is so nasty and you have heard me say before a muddy ditch, but the kids love it.  A great time was had by all, minus Alice screaming over the life jacket, who could blame her, that thing was uncomfortable looking!

It is 9:00 and Wiley is still snoozing, Robin is at the Hunting Club for a work morning and Alice is back down for her morning nap.  I am enjoying a cup of Jo and staring at 2 loads of laundry that must be folded! A few pictures from our sunset cruise.

Wiley and Robin went with them last Friday evening too and they said this is what Wild Man did the entire time the boat was moving (staring out the back)

See how happy my girl was in that jacket?!!!  She has NO fear and loves the water!

We had a fun time and ended our trip with a ride under the Edmund Pettus Bridge~ Wiley's favorite thing to do! Downtown looked so beautiful lite up at night from a river view.

Before I leave, I must talk about what happened yesterday! I have my Friday afternoons blocked off for Wiley.  It is all about him on Fridays. Wiley came to work with me for a little while and then we met Haley for lunch at Mexico (El Rancheros); can't leave a trip from Downtown Selma with Wild Man without making a trip down to Carter's Drug to check out the toys. He left with a blue Angel plane (pretty cool, if I must say). WELL----We went for his hair cut (BIG MISTAKE, 2nd time we have been to this particular "joint" they called him over and I told her just to trim it up, trip his side burns and shorten the back a little...When I said trim the back up, I guess I did NOT make my self very clear!!!!!  She asked if we used the clippers, I said yes just in the back and side burns...ME:  reading a my new read The Help hearing the clippers going...look up to see that chunks of hair coming from the clippers and the tatted up woman SHAVING my baby boy's hair--I GASPED so loud that the lady getting her hair done beside him looked at me and knew that I was so sick to my stomach--I said from across the way NOOOOOOO we do NOT use clippers for his entire HEAD, well too late! I was sick to my stomach, like I am dead serious--SICK..my stomach started cramping really bad! When all said and done, it is a super cute hair cut just SHORT! It is hair and it will grow, yea by December. I told Wiley that he looked super nice and I loved it. I then drove to Nana Janets and she said it was the best hair cut he has ever had--right, only trying to make this little momma feel better!

It is a gloomy day here, so the Wild Man and I are going to make cupcakes. A recipe I found from another blogger!! I hope ours turns out as cute as theirs!!

Happy Saturday,
Ang
